Aqueduct 2011-2012 Meeting The Aqueduct 2011-2012 Meeting features live racing every Wednesday through Sunday, with some exceptions. Aqueduct Racetrack will open this year on Friday, November 4. We will not feature live racing from December 19 through December 27. Dark-day simulcast viewing will continue to be available on the 2nd floor of the Clubhouse. Additionally, Aqueduct will offer simulcast viewing from December 19 through December 27, during our holiday break. Aqueduct Racetrack will be closed on Saturday, December 24, Sunday, December 25, Sunday, April 1, and Sunday, April 8. Simulcast wagering will be available at the Belmont Café, in Belmont Park, year-round. NYRA Rewards members may additionally choose to wager via 1-800-THE-NYRA, NYRAREWARDS.com, and Mobile Wagering. Holidayfest: The Tradition Continues
Whet your Thoroughbred racing appetite as you prepare for the meal of the year! An early post time gets you home on time for turkey, yams, and stuffing. The $100,000 (G3) Fall Highweight Championship is featured on the special holiday card. Post time 11:25am, and racing concludes at approximately 3:00pm.
Friday, November 25: Black Friday Would you rather fight the crowds at the local mall, or spend the day at the Big A – where making the right selection can really pay off? The $150,000 (G2) Go For Wand is the feature on the card. Post time 12:00pm.
Saturday, November 26: Cigar Mile Saturday The premiere raceday of the Aqueduct Fall Meeting. The Cigar Mile Saturday features the very best milers in the nation, as well as the finest 2 year-old colts and fillies New York Racing has to offer. Four graded stakes highlight this premiere Fall Saturday card. Post time: 12:00pm. Featuring: In celebration of Cigar Mile Saturday, the New York Racing Association will be offering our patrons the chance to collect vintage Belmont Stakes glasses. One item free with purchase of the Post Parade, pocket program, or Daily Racing Form. Additional coupons may be purchased (while supplies last).
Saturday and Sunday, December 3-4 Stockings to fill? Loved ones to please? Get your stocking stuffer shopping done for the racing fan in your life at Aqueduct Racetrack! For a one-dollar per-item donation, fans may choose an item of their choice from remaining past giveaway items. All donations will benefit a NYRA-supported charitable organization.
Aqueduct will take a holiday recess from Monday, December 19 through Tuesday, December 27. Aqueduct will re-open on Wednesday, December 28.
Sunday, January 1: 2012 NYRA Calendar Event
Our 2012 NYRA Calendar will help racing fans keep track of the big days on racing's premier circuit. The very best racing photos from the past year will adorn your home or office, along with the racing schedule and upcoming events at Aqueduct, Belmont, and Saratoga. Admission is free at both locations so stop by the Big A or the Belmont Cafe on January 1st and pick up your calendar for only $2 while supplies last!
